Problem & Solution

Problem

In 2019-2021, most crypto services prioritized trading features over everyday usability. Users had to rely on fragmented tools to manage wallets, deposits, and transactions — often lacking transparency or clear UX patterns. CryptoStoryBank aimed to bridge this gap by delivering a bank-like dashboard experience for crypto users that feels familiar, secure, and accessible even to non-experts.

Solution

The final dashboard provides a holistic overview of assets, blending professional banking patterns with crypto functionality. Each feature was designed for clarity, minimal friction, and a feeling of control.

Design Process

Problem & Solution

1

Research & Competitive Audit

Analyzed Binance, Crypto.com, and Trust Wallet. Users valued fast access to balances, clear investment feedback, and simplified actions. Emotional trust and visual clarity were critical — users preferred calm, professional interfaces similar to online banking over flashy crypto exchanges.

2

User Insights

Target users were individuals and small investors adopting crypto for payments and passive income. They wanted a single place to manage funds and track yields, many lacked technical knowledge, and expected the same security guarantees as traditional banks.

3

Design Strategy

Dashboard structured around key user goals: wallet overview with balances and quick actions, an Earn section for staking with visual progress, a News section for in-ecosystem content, and clean persistent navigation. A neutral color palette, large white space, and light blue accents were chosen to evoke trust.

4

Key Features Built

Wallet page with real-time balances and transaction filters. Earn section with adjustable deposit terms (3, 6, 12 months) and a built-in yield calculator. News hub integrated content feed. Security transparency with visual cues for insured deposits.

Key Challenges

Problem & Solution

  • Translating complex crypto logic (staking, APR, reinvestment) into simple, intuitive flows

  • Balancing visual minimalism with the dense data needs of financial dashboards

  • Maintaining consistency across wallet, earn, and news modules

Reflections

Problem & Solution

Working on this project deepened my understanding of data-heavy UX and financial user psychology. I learned to communicate trust visually through hierarchy, spacing, and tone; balance between technical accuracy and user comprehension; and design systems that scale across multiple crypto assets and networks.
